Seoul Music Festival set for Nodeul Island on Saturday

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced Thursday that the 2026 Seoul Music Festival will be held at Nodeul Island on Saturday. The island opened a new waterfront cultural space last month and is known as a spot where visitors can enjoy both the Han River and sunset views.

This year's festival runs under the theme "Good Music Stories Told by Seoul," with programming from noon to 9 p.m. The main concert begins at 5 p.m. and features Chudahye Chagis, Nerd Connection, Kwon Jin-ah, Oksang Dalbit, Paul Kim and Kim Chang-wan Band. GLL will perform during the pre-show.

Beyond the main concert, the festival will offer a record exhibition and listening zone developed in collaboration with the Korean Music Awards, along with busking performances, a music talk show and other participatory programs for the public.

The public programs run from noon at Nodeul Square on Nodeul Island and include a photo booth and noraebang. Anyone can take part by showing up at the venue during the scheduled hours.

All programs are free. Advance tickets for the main concert, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on Sept. 30, sold out in one minute. However, depending on conditions at the venue, some open areas may allow standing-room viewing, and a live stream will be available through Live Seoul.
