Researcher Jeon Mi-young invited for ninth consecutive annual lecture since 2018
In-house AI platform 'HAI' cited as leading example of 'VibeWorking' trend
Hyundai Motor Securities held a special lecture on "Trend Korea 2027" for its employees Thursday, the company announced Friday.
The "Trend Korea by Jeon Mi-young" lecture series is designed to help employees understand future trends and adapt to shifts in the business environment. The company has held the event annually since 2018, making this year's edition the ninth.
This year's session centered on "ALPHA SHEEP," the slogan put forward in Trend Korea 2027, and examined the changing currents in consumer culture and industry at large, as well as the impact of emerging trends on how companies and individuals work.
"ALPHA SHEEP" refers to the concept of being the first sheep to act ahead of the herd rather than simply following it — a framework that focuses less on AI technology itself, now a commodity, and more on how AI is reshaping the world.
Ten keywords proposed for 2027 were presented: "boredom society," "life ROI," "form-factor shift," "try-it economy," "hoarding humanity," "VibeWorking," "retention strategy," "human edge," "half signal" and "eye capital."
Hyundai Motor Securities' in-house AI platform HAI was highlighted as a standout example of VibeWorking, one of the ten keywords. VibeWorking refers to an approach that goes beyond using AI as a work tool, redesigning workflows so that people and AI work together.
HAI is Hyundai Motor Securities' proprietary AI platform, introduced in June to improve operational efficiency and build a digitally driven work environment. The company plans to launch HAI 2.0 in the second half of this year, with enhanced features for the pension sector.
"This lecture was a meaningful opportunity for our employees to deepen their understanding of future trends while also reflecting on the direction of the AI-driven workplace innovation we are pursuing," President Bae Hyung-geun said. "We hope the knowledge and insights gained today will translate into practical applications at work and inspire a wide range of innovative business ideas."
Beyond employee education, Hyundai Motor Securities also runs programs aimed at building financial literacy and asset management skills. On Sept. 16, the company held an asset management seminar for the head coach and 16 players of the Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) women's volleyball team at the club's gymnasium in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The session included a simulated investment game in which players made their own investment decisions, as well as lectures on asset management across different life stages. One-on-one consultations covering investment, tax and legal matters were also offered to interested participants.
