2 workers injured as cable snaps at SK hynix construction site in Cheongju

Two workers were injured Saturday morning at the SK hynix P&T7 construction site in Technopolis, Cheongju, Yonhap reported.

The accident occurred around 10:32 a.m. when a cable being pulled by machinery snapped. A worker in his late 20s, identified only as A, suffered a serious head injury, while a worker in his mid-50s, identified as B, sustained minor injuries.

Both men were struck and knocked down by the severed cable.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
