The Daegu Dalseong-gun Council visited major project sites across the district from Wednesday to Friday to review progress and conduct field-based legislative activities.
Lawmakers first toured sites in the education, tourism and sports sectors, including the relocation and new construction of Dalseo Middle and High School in Secheon, a picnic park development along the Geumho River, and a park golf course construction project in Habin.
They then inspected infrastructure-related sites, including a road construction project linking Gangjeong Village in Jukgok 2-ri, Dasa, to the Jukgok 2 district, urban planning road projects in Oseol-ri, Guji, and Gura-ri, Hwawon, and a public freight vehicle depot construction project in Dalseong.
The council also reviewed progress on projects aimed at improving the local living environment and urban landscape — among them a climate garden development at Hyeonpung Plaza, a landscape improvement project along Hyeonpungcheon stream, a flower complex project in Ssanggye-ri, Yuga-eup, and a specialty street development in Dadachon, Nongong.
Council Speaker Gwak Dong-hwan said the visits allowed members to hear residents' concerns firsthand, adding that the council would actively work to ensure key projects proceed smoothly.
