GMC participates in the 28th Korea National HOG Rally and 22nd Go Out Camp
Brand runs vehicle displays, convoy programs and test drives across both events
GMC, General Motors' premium SUV and pickup truck brand, participated in the 28th Korea National HOG Rally and the 22nd Go Out Camp, held from Friday through Sunday, running vehicle displays, convoy programs, test drives and customer engagement events tailored to each occasion, the company announced Wednesday.
The HOG Rally, held at Welli Hilli Park in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, is a motorcycle festival that draws thousands of Harley-Davidson riders and is marking its 28th edition this year since its domestic debut in 1999.
At the rally, GMC displayed the Sierra, its full-size American pickup, and the Canyon, a premium midsize pickup, and used both as convoy lead vehicles.
Running concurrently at Baengmagang Leisure Park in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, the Go Out Camp gave GMC an opportunity to showcase its full lineup to customers. The event blends auto camping, backpacking and caravan camping with performances and brand experience programs, with participants staying two nights and three days to enjoy outdoor culture.
GMC displayed four models at Go Out Camp — the Sierra, Canyon, Hummer EV SUV and Arcadia — presenting a lineup spanning pickup trucks, full-size SUVs and electric vehicles.
The brand also ran test-drive programs for the Sierra, Canyon and Arcadia, allowing visitors to experience each vehicle's driving performance, interior space and convenience features firsthand.
"Building on more than 120 years of accumulated pickup and SUV engineering expertise, we continue to pursue our 'Professional Grade' philosophy of delivering the performance and functionality needed in real-world conditions," a GMC official said. "We will keep expanding opportunities for customers to experience our brand and products directly at a wide range of lifestyle events."
Meanwhile, GMC has been broadening its regional outreach beyond its major hubs in Seoul, Busan and Incheon through various marketing initiatives — including opening a pop-up showroom in July on the Second Circular Road in Seowon-gu, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, together with Cadillac, to reach customers in the Chungcheong region.
