The Anchor Project Headquarters of Gyeongil University held generative AI training sessions for elderly residents in Gumi on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, at the Korea Senior Citizens Association's Gumi branch.

The sessions were organized by the ACE Project Group under the Anchor Project Headquarters and hosted by the Gumi branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, drawing a total of 50 participants over the two days.

The program was designed to help older residents in the area better understand digital technology and learn to use generative AI in their daily lives.

The curriculum ran from introductory lessons on the basic concepts of generative AI and how to use key tools, through to hands-on practice creating image and video content with AI — structured throughout to ease participants into digital technology and help them build practical skills.

Participants used Google Gemini and Flow to generate images and videos by entering their own prompts, then practiced editing and refining the results to learn how to express their ideas as digital content.

"This training gave elderly residents in Gumi a chance to learn and use generative AI firsthand, bringing them one step closer to digital technology," said Kim So-young, head of the ACE Project Group.
