Seongju-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held its 4th Baekse Noraejang, a senior singing contest, at the Health Culture Campus on Thursday.
About 300 residents attended, with invited singers Arang Janggu, Jeong Mi-rae and Park Sang-ha performing to heighten the festive atmosphere.
In the main competition, 10 participants representing their respective towns and townships took the stage to showcase their singing skills, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Each contestant brought their own personality and passion to their performance, energizing the crowd.
Choi Mi-ja of Wolhang-myeon took the grand prize, while Kim Im-dol of Gacheon-myeon won the gold award, Jo Seong-yong of Daega-myeon the silver and Yeo Hu-yeong of Byeokjin-myeon the bronze. All winners received prize money and trophies.
"I hope the Baekse Noraejang has given our elderly residents a source of vitality and joy, and offered the wider community a precious opportunity to laugh and connect," Seongju-gun Mayor Jeon Hwa-sik said.
