Dalseo-gu in Daegu held a high school admissions briefing for the 2027 school year on Saturday at the Dalseo Lifelong Learning Center, drawing about 150 prospective first-year high school students and their parents.
Organized by the Dalseo-gu Career and College Guidance Support Center, the event aimed to provide admissions information and guidance in line with changes to the college entrance system as the high school credit system enters its third year of full implementation.
Jo Hong-rae, a teacher and chair of the Daegu College Guidance Council, led the session, covering the admissions schedule and key changes for the 2027 school year, a guide to selecting courses and building academic plans under the high school credit system, and a question-and-answer segment.
The briefing also offered a comprehensive overview of how to choose subjects after entering high school under the credit system and how to approach long-term college entrance preparation.
Dalseo-gu District Mayor Kim Yong-pan said the district would continue to provide diverse support and tailored information so that students and parents can prepare for high school with confidence.
