Toyota Korea said Monday it successfully held the "TGR Racing Class with Super Race," an owner-participation motorsport program for GR86, RAV4 GR SPORT and Lexus owners, at Everland Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on Saturday.

The TGR Racing Class is designed to let owners experience firsthand the "joy of driving" that Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) champions. Toyota Korea partners with Super Race to give owners the chance to watch a live motorsport competition and drive on a circuit at the same venue, helping them engage with motorsport in a more accessible way.

This year's event drew 24 Toyota owner teams — 20 with GR86s and four with RAV4 GR SPORTs — along with four Lexus owner teams, bringing the total to 42 participants including companions. The inclusion of RAV4 GR SPORT owners marked an expansion of the program, broadening the range of Toyota brand experiences on offer.

More than half of this year's participants were first-time motorsport enthusiasts. Toyota Korea structured the program in stages — from classroom theory to actual track driving — so that beginners could enjoy circuit driving safely.

Participants attended driving theory and safety sessions before watching the 2026 O-NE Super Race Championship. They then took to the circuit in their own vehicles under the guidance of professional instructors, taking part in following laps and lead-and-follow exercises.

"A defining feature of this year's TGR Racing Class was the expanded participant lineup — we invited not only sports car owners but also owners of the RAV4 GR SPORT, the motorsport-inspired grade of the RAV4 lineup we launched in June, so they could experience circuit driving for themselves," said Kang Dae-hwan, executive vice president of Toyota Korea. "Going forward, we will continue to expand opportunities for owners to get closer to motorsport and connect with one another through owner experience programs that are unique to Toyota."

Toyota Korea serves as the official naming sponsor of the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 Class, the top tier of the Super Race series. In addition, the company hosted "TGR Rally Play," a customer participation rally program, in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, in September, and co-organized the "Hyundai N x Toyota Gazoo Racing Gymkhana Day" with Hyundai Motor Company.

Toyota Korea also held the "Hyundai N x Toyota GR Gymkhana Day" with Hyundai Motor Company at Inje Speedium in Inje-gun, Gangwon Province, in September, as part of its ongoing marketing efforts to broaden the motorsport base.
