Gwangju University's dormitory held a "K-street food experience program" Thursday and Friday, giving international students living on campus a hands-on introduction to Korean street food culture.
Participants made and tasted kimbap and tteokbokki — two staples of Korean street food — gaining insight into Korean culinary traditions and cooking culture in a relaxed, informal setting.
Kang Hyeon-seung, director of the dormitory, said he hoped the program had been "a small help" in adjusting to life in Korea, and pledged to continue offering a variety of cultural exchange programs for international students.
