KSA-administered KS-QEI survey
First place in 10 home appliance categories
Refrigerators ranked No. 1 for 20th time overall; TVs for 17 consecutive years
Sustained product innovation drives customer satisfaction
Samsung Electronics has topped the most product categories in the 2026 Korean Quality Satisfaction Index (KS-QEI), administered by the Korean Standards Association, for the 18th consecutive year.
The KS-QEI, launched in 2004, is a comprehensive index measuring consumer satisfaction with the quality of products and services across major domestic industries. This year's survey covered 369 companies across 121 categories, assessing performance, reliability and usability through evaluations by consumers who have used the products and by quality experts.
Samsung Electronics claimed first place in 14 categories in total, extending its all-time record for the most category wins. In home appliances, the company swept the top spot across 10 product segments: refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, all-in-one washer-dryers, drum washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, clothing care systems, system air conditioning and heating units, induction cooktops and cordless stick vacuums.
In the refrigerator category, Samsung set a cumulative record of 20 first-place finishes since the survey began. Its flagship 2026 Bespoke AI Family Hub Kitchen Fit Max refrigerator has drawn praise for creating a smart kitchen environment powered by advanced AI technology — including "AI Vision," which automatically identifies ingredients going in and out via an internal camera, and "AI Food Manager," which tracks stored ingredients and suggests optimal recipes.
In the TV category, Samsung defended its top position for the 17th consecutive year, leading screen experience innovation with its enhanced "Vision AI" technology. The "Vision AI Companion" feature built into new models supports a natural conversational interface that understands user intent and the context of questions. Through a dedicated AI button on the remote, it delivers personalized lifestyle information — including details about content being watched as well as weather, news and personal schedules.
"This record number of KS-QEI wins reflects the unwavering trust of our customers and our commitment to continuous quality innovation," said Yoo Mi-young, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics' DA Business Division. "We will continue to deliver differentiated home appliance experiences that make customers' everyday lives more convenient and meaningful, backed by advanced AI technology and solid core performance."
