Free checks covering 20 key items offered on-site
Company pledges to strengthen field-focused service
MAN Truck Bus Korea said Wednesday it had successfully concluded its MAN Service Day, a mobile free-inspection program designed to help customers keep their vehicles in safe condition ahead of winter.
The second-half 2026 MAN Service Day kicked off in Incheon on Oct. 13 and traveled to six major logistics hubs nationwide — Uiwang in Gyeonggi Province, Mungyeong in North Gyeongsang Province, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province, Busan and Ulsan. A total of 426 customers visited the events to have their vehicles inspected and to receive expert technical consultations.
MAN Service Day is a customer support program in which MAN Truck Bus Korea sends technicians directly to freight hubs where drivers can stop in during their routes. The initiative targets customers who find it difficult to visit a service center due to long working hours and demanding schedules, allowing potential issues to be caught early and vehicles to stay reliably in operation.
At each stop, certified technicians from MAN's official service centers and the company's in-house technical team used diagnostic equipment to carry out precision checks on 20 key items in preparation for the winter season.
In addition to the inspections, MAN Truck Bus Korea displayed the new MAN TGX 540-horsepower 6x2 tractor model at the event sites.
The Korea Automobile Testing and Research Institute (KATRI) also took part. At the Mungyeong event on Oct. 15, representatives from both organizations joined forces to raise awareness of the importance of proactive vehicle maintenance for commercial trucks and to promote a culture of road safety.
Choi Dong-seok, a director at KATRI, said the event was significant as a safety inspection program held at highway rest stops through public-private cooperation. "We hope this kind of collaboration will expand to more brands so that more customers can conveniently access safety checks and information on related programs," he said.
MAN Service Day has been held consistently since its launch in 2025, drawing strong customer response, and has now been held four times in total through the second half of this year. The program brings inspections and consultations directly to the locations where customers operate their vehicles, improving access to service.
Peter Andersson, president of MAN Truck Bus Korea, said stable vehicle operation is directly tied to business continuity for commercial vehicle customers, making proactive maintenance just as important as responding after a problem occurs. "Given the strong turnout at this MAN Service Day, we will continue to strengthen our field-focused service in ways that are genuinely helpful to our customers," he said.
Meanwhile, MAN Truck Bus Korea has been expanding customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including a MAN 540-horsepower tractor test-drive event held across eight regions nationwide from Sept. 7 to Sept. 18.
