The Gunwi-gun Assembly in Daegu launched a two-day inspection tour Tuesday, visiting 19 major project sites across the county during the 300th extraordinary session to review progress and gather on-the-ground feedback.
The visits were organized to allow assembly members to directly assess the status of key county projects and identify potential problems or areas for improvement in their implementation.
On the first day, members visited sites including a drainage improvement project on County Road No. 3 in Yongdae-ri, a multigenerational workation complex project, a climate-crisis support project for vulnerable communities, the Gunwi Youth Hub Center, a county welfare facility construction project, a youth cultural center being built at the Gunwi agricultural and industrial complex, and a pine wilt disease control project.
On Wednesday, the assembly is scheduled to tour additional sites, including a stream restoration project at Wonggol in Dubuk-ri, an eco-friendly park project at Hwabonji, a new administrative welfare center in Sanseong-myeon, an active townhouse development project, a steep-slope collapse risk mitigation project in the Hwasu district, and a water supply zone expansion project in Hwabuk 4-ri, Hwasan district, Samgungnyusa-myeon.
Assembly Speaker Seo Dae-sik said the body would continue its field-focused legislative activities to monitor key county issues and ensure that residents' voices are reflected in policy, fulfilling its role of both oversight and cooperation.
