SK AX has unveiled a recruitment solution that uses AI to analyze job applicants' practical skills.
SK AX on Thursday launched G-Fit Studio, an AI-based competency assessment solution. The service analyzes applicants' problem-solving abilities, communication skills and AI proficiency based on real workplace scenarios, helping HR managers make more informed hiring decisions.
G-Fit Studio runs in two stages: "business problem solving" and "strategic communication." In the first stage, applicants form a hypothesis about a given problem and work through solutions by conversing with an AI agent.
Throughout the process, data is recorded on what questions applicants ask the AI and how they evaluate and apply the information provided. HR managers can then use this data to assess each applicant's problem-solving capabilities.
In the second stage, the AI takes on the role of an HR manager or department supervisor and conducts a 30-minute in-depth interview. Questions are drawn from the applicant's cover letter and the solutions developed in the first stage.
When an applicant responds, the AI follows up with questions probing the reasoning behind the answers or how the approach differs from other options. The system also gauges communication skills by presenting realistic workplace scenarios — such as asking how an applicant would persuade a resistant department — to assess interpersonal effectiveness.
Assessment content can be tailored to the specific job requirements of each company. All applicants are evaluated using identical tasks and criteria, and the platform supports foreign languages including English and Japanese, allowing companies to assess the communication skills needed for global roles.
The solution also reduces the time and operational burden of large-scale recruitment, as the AI can interview multiple applicants simultaneously while generating the data needed for competency analysis.
SK AX has already applied the solution in selecting the fourth cohort of SKALA, its AI talent development program with a recruitment track. Assessing the capabilities of roughly 1,800 applicants took just six hours.
The platform can also be used to evaluate and train existing employees. It structures real workplace tasks — such as business proposals, work reports and customer interactions — into scenarios that assess and develop problem-solving, communication and AI skills.
Companies can use the results to identify each employee's strengths and areas for improvement and to build tailored education and development plans. The solution also eases the assessment and coaching workload for training managers.
"Through G-Fit Studio, we will support companies in effectively identifying and developing hands-on talent equipped with AI capabilities," said Kim Min-hwan, head of HRX at SK AX.
Meanwhile, SK AX earlier this month launched AI Bootcamp Vibe, an education program designed to help non-developers build their own AI agents. The four-week program covers AI agent design and development, with AI integrated throughout all stages including hands-on exercises and assignment evaluations.
