Busan Technopark hosts gait analysis event for Paepae Busan visitors Thursday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. at Bexco Exhibition Hall 1
Busan Technopark announced Thursday it will run a gait measurement experience event for visitors to the 2026 Paepae Busan (Busan International Shoes, Textile and Fashion Exhibition), held through Saturday at Bexco Exhibition Hall 1.
The event is a side program of Paepae Busan, organized by Busan Technopark and hosted by the city of Busan, designed to help residents check their walking habits and understand the importance of proper gait.
Participants have their gait measured using professional analysis equipment, after which specialists explain the results and walking characteristics based on the data. Each participant receives a personalized results sheet along with guidance on correct walking techniques suited to their habits. Custom insoles will also be given out to participants as part of a special giveaway.
Busan Technopark has drawn on gait analysis and biomechanical performance evaluation technology accumulated over years in the footwear industry to offer residents hands-on opportunities to appreciate the importance of foot health and proper walking habits in everyday life.
The event is expected not only to raise public awareness of the need for proper footwear and insoles by giving residents direct access to professional gait analysis technology, but also to showcase the technological capabilities of the local footwear industry and the quality of functional shoes.
The experience booth will operate daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. throughout the exhibition period, and any exhibition visitor may participate free of charge.
Kang Young-ho, head of Busan Technopark's Footwear and Fashion Promotion Division, said the organization would work to expand citizen-oriented services drawing on the technology of Busan's footwear industry, and to promote a culture of healthy walking while strengthening the competitiveness of the local sector.
