Seongju-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held its second job fair of 2026 on Wednesday at the first floor of the Innovation Support Center.
Six local manufacturers participated in the event: Youngchang Advanced Materials Co., Myeongil Form Co., Sungil Tech, Jaewook Steel Seongju factory, Hanju Co. and Taeyoung Enterprise Co.
About 50 job seekers attended — including both pre-matched candidates and walk-in applicants — and took part in one-on-one on-site interviews.
Five candidates who passed the first round will go through additional company-specific interviews before final hiring decisions are made.
In partnership with the North Gyeongsang Province Economic Promotion Agency, middle-aged participants also received a 50,000-won ($37) interview stipend to help offset job-search costs.
"We hope the interviews lead to actual hires," a Seongju-gun official said. "We will keep running tailored job-matching programs going forward."
