TIFFCOM runs through Friday; CJ ENM, KT Studio Ginie among participants
South Korean film, broadcasting and animation companies are targeting overseas markets at a content trade event held alongside the Tokyo International Film Festival, presenting not only drama series and films but also character intellectual property and AI video technology in search of business partnerships.
TIFFCOM 2026, an international audiovisual content market, is under way at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Hall in Minato-gu, Tokyo. The event serves as a forum for discussing content sales, remake rights and international co-productions across film, broadcasting and animation.
CJ ENM, KT Studio Ginie, Studio S and Astory are among the companies exhibiting at the Korea joint pavilion on the fifth floor of the Hamamatsucho Hall venue. The Korea Creative Content Agency is operating the joint pavilion to support business cooperation between domestic broadcasting content companies and buyers from Japan and around the world.

In animation and character content, Locus and Graphix are showcasing their original content and IP. The AI and video technology segment features Inshorts, Entonic Creative and SC Creative.
The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency and the South Jeolla Province Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency are also taking part to support local content companies in expanding abroad.
TIFFCOM has been broadening its scope beyond finished content deals to include source IP and book adaptation rights, as well as investment attraction.
Meanwhile, the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival opened Monday and runs through Nov. 4 across the Hibiya, Yurakucho, Marunouchi and Ginza districts of Tokyo. This year's program features screenings of 204 films alongside audience talks, symposiums and other exchange events.
