The Daegu Fire and Safety Headquarters conducted an on-site inspection Friday along the club alley in Dongseongno to prevent crowd-related accidents and prepare emergency responses ahead of Halloween on Saturday.
The inspection was carried out in anticipation of large crowds descending on Dongseongno, where clubs and entertainment venues are concentrated during the Halloween period. Officials sought to identify hazards along key stretches of the area and verify access and evacuation routes needed for rapid rescue and emergency medical operations.
Daegu Fire and Safety Headquarters Chief Kim Tae-han visited the scene Friday to inspect areas expected to draw dense crowds, potential bottlenecks, fire vehicle access routes, firefighting zones, and paths for paramedic access and patient transport.
Particular attention was paid to narrow alleyways where concentrated crowds could lead to falls or crush-related accidents. Officials reviewed on-site response plans to ensure swift rescue and patient transport in the event of an incident.
"Even a small hazard in a narrow, crowded alley can escalate into a serious accident," Kim said. "We will work closely with relevant agencies and maintain a thorough rescue and emergency medical response posture to keep citizens safe."
