North Gyeongsang Province's Cheongdo-gun held the 75th Cheongdo Citizens' Sports Festival at Cheongdo Public Stadium on Friday, drawing about 3,000 participants including athletes from local townships, residents and guests. Under the slogan "Great Cheongdo, Together with Our People," the event opened with a costumed vehicle parade by township teams that drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd. Competitions followed, including ssireum wrestling and a rubber-band relay race between townships, alongside intergenerational exhibition events such as a ball-rolling contest for senior citizens and gateball. Cheongdo-gun County Chief Park Gwon-hyeon said, "The strength and passion that residents have brought together today will serve as a solid driving force leading Cheongdo toward a new leap forward and future development."
