Dyson Korea announced Monday it is launching two new cleaning products in South Korea: a robot vacuum combining AI and ultraviolet technology, and an upgraded wet floor cleaner with improved stain-removal performance and easier maintenance.

The Dyson r3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV robot vacuum adds UV lighting to the brand's existing AI-based cleaning system. An AI vision system identifies stains, debris and objects to adjust cleaning behavior, while the UV light scans the floor to detect contamination. The machine is designed to scrub stubborn stains up to 15 times until they are fully removed.

Suction power has been increased 65 percent over the previous model to 30,000 Pa. The vacuum automatically distinguishes between hard floors and carpets, boosting suction when carpet is detected. High-speed LiDAR maps the interior and plots the cleaning route.

During wet cleaning, a 12-point water-supply system rinses the roller with each rotation. When the vacuum detects a wall, the cleaning roller extends up to 40 millimeters to reach the edge.

After cleaning, the bagless cyclone docking station automatically empties dust, refills water and recharges the unit. Dyson says the station can store dust for up to 100 days by its own testing standards. The roller is washed with water heated to up to 70 degrees Celsius, then dried with 55-degree hot air.

"The Dyson r3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV robot vacuum combines AI vision, green light and UV light to find hard-to-see ingrained stains and invisible marks," said Jake Dyson, Dyson's chief engineer. "It is then designed to react in real time, continuously checking the floor and cleaning until the stain is completely removed."

The Dyson W1 PencilWash wet floor cleaner, also launching alongside the robot vacuum, features a roller with 16 percent denser microfiber than the previous model. It combines 84,000 microfiber filaments with nylon bristles to remove dust and hair. An anti-tangle scraper is designed to prevent hair up to 35 centimeters long from wrapping around the roller.

The number of water-supply points on the roller has been increased from eight to 12. Dyson says the new model leaves 30 percent less moisture on the floor than its predecessor and can clean up to 320 square meters on a single 290-milliliter tank.

The post-cleaning process has also been redesigned. A new cleaner head separates wet waste from dry dust, collecting both at the bottom of the head. An auto-clean function removes any remaining dust or residue from the roller after use.

Dyson Korea is running a "Dyson Clean Home" pop-up store at Hyundai Department Store's Pangyo location through Nov. 15. The store displays both new products alongside Dyson's full robot vacuum lineup. The new products are available through Dyson's official website and Dyson stores.
