Lotte Department Store said it will sell Seolsungah, a new variety of peach grown in autumn and winter, at the food halls of seven Greater Seoul stores through Nov. 15.
Seolsungah peaches are cultivated between autumn and winter and carry an average sugar content 2 to 3 Brix higher than summer peaches. Freshly harvested, they have a crisp texture; once left to ripen further, their sweetness can reach up to 20 Brix.
The peaches will be available at the Main, Jamsil, Gangnam, Nowon, Pyeongchon, Dongtan and Incheon branches, priced at 11,000 won ($8) per piece. The sales period is subject to change depending on harvest conditions at the growing region.
