LG Electronics announced Tuesday it will offer 21 works from the "K-Heritage Collection: Season 1 — Joseon Royal Series" on LG Gallery Plus, featuring cultural heritage items such as Joseon-era palace architecture, royal paintings and ceramics reimagined as digital art.

LG Gallery Plus is an art content service built into webOS, LG Electronics' proprietary smart TV platform. It lets customers use curated artworks to complement their home interiors.

LG Electronics digitally recomposed royal paintings — including "Ilwolobongdo" (a screen painting of the sun, moon and five peaks), "Morando" (a peony painting) and "Gunanado" (a painting of geese) — and rendered objects such as white porcelain moon jars, buncheong ware, blue-and-white porcelain and royal seals as art pieces, allowing customers to enjoy them at home at any time.

The K-Heritage Collection: Season 1 — Joseon Royal Series was produced by digital twin company Wipco using digital assets, with content planning and creation handled by Heritage Lab, a studio specializing in technology-integrated content.

Art tech company L Factory handled platform integration and retail distribution. LG Electronics plans to continue releasing collections that recreate Korean beauty as digital art in collaboration with these companies.

Beyond this collection, LG Electronics has partnered with major global museums — including the National Gallery London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art — to present high-value works on LG Gallery Plus.

The service also offers contemporary art through collaborations with art platforms such as Saatchi Art, as well as game illustrations and nature photography. Customers can access more than 5,000 pieces of art content on LG Gallery Plus, spanning classic fine art and game illustrations.

"We will continue to strengthen our art content offerings so that customers can appreciate artworks through LG Gallery Plus and complete the interior of their own spaces," said Jo Byung-ha, vice president and head of the webOS Platform Business Center at LG Electronics' Microsoft Business Division.
