Company scores above industry average across all 8 evaluation dimensions
Direct-operation system drives continued service innovation
K Car, South Korea's largest direct-operation used-car platform, announced Wednesday that it ranked first in the used-car sales service category of the 2026 Korean Standard-Service Quality Index (KS-SQI), administered by the Korean Standards Association.
The KS-SQI is a service quality evaluation model jointly developed by the Korean Standards Association and Seoul National University's Business School. It surveys customers who have used a company's services and rates them across eight dimensions — accuracy, expertise, sincerity, kindness, proactiveness, ease of use, tangibles and social value — to determine the top-ranked company in each industry category.
K Car exceeded the industry average in all eight evaluation dimensions. The company also scored above the industry average across four broader quality domains — service outcome quality, service interaction quality, service environment quality and social quality — earning recognition for its overall service competitiveness.
K Car has built its service model around a direct-operation system aimed at easing the information gaps and vehicle quality concerns that consumers often face in used-car transactions. The company directly purchases, inspects and manages vehicles before selling them, and focuses on creating a transaction environment where customers can feel confident from purchase through after-sales care.
In May, K Car expanded its service offerings with the launch of "Ansim Jikgeorrae," a peer-to-peer used-car transaction service. The service applies the vehicle inspection, quality management and transaction support expertise the company has accumulated in the used-car market to private deals, with a focus on reducing the burden on consumers from vehicle information checks through post-transaction follow-up.
The service allows only verified vehicle owners — those who have completed an actual-owner authentication process — to list cars, ensuring buyers deal with the genuine owner. K Car also provides an "Ansim Report" containing insurance and maintenance histories and other information needed to make a purchase decision. The company has also introduced a "direct-transaction quality certification program" under which it inspects vehicles itself and covers repairs or compensation for quality issues discovered after a deal is completed.
K Car has also improved the convenience of the transaction process. An online title-transfer service reduces the need for customers to visit government offices, while chat and masked-number services allow buyers and sellers to communicate without exposing personal information.
"This recognition is meaningful because it reflects the direct evaluation of customers who trusted and chose K Car," said Jung In-kuk, CEO of KG Mobility Platform. "We will continue innovating our services to turn the anxiety of used-car transactions into reassurance and inconvenience into ease, delivering a better customer experience across all aspects of automotive lifestyle."
Meanwhile, K Car is running a promotion through the end of the year offering military veterans discharged in 2025 or later a seven-day test drive of KGM vehicles, as a gesture of appreciation for their service and encouragement as they begin civilian life.
