Foreign tourists browsed a wide range of products at Namdaemun Market in Jung-gu, Seoul, on Thursday morning. Sales to foreign visitors at the market, one of Seoul's most iconic traditional markets, jumped 65.6% from 9.51 billion won ($7.09 million) to 15.76 billion won. Everyday lifestyle items such as scarves, exfoliating towels and bath baskets have recently emerged as popular products among foreign tourists after spreading by word of mouth on social media, a trend that appears to have driven up visits to the traditional market.
