The Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation announced Monday that it will hold the 2026 Gyeongsan Cafe Festival from June 27 to 28 along the Namcheon Riverside.
This year's event will feature a multilateral public-private partnership project with Woowa Brothers Corp. — operator of food delivery platform Baemin — and Jain Agricultural Cooperative to promote the region's food and culture nationwide.
The festival is designed as a relaxing retreat where the aroma of coffee drifting along the Namcheon Riverside mingles with the sweetness of "Sinbi peaches," a prized seasonal fruit available at peak flavor for only about two weeks a year.
Particularly notable is the festival's adoption of an O2O (online-to-offline) system powered by Baemin, the country's top food delivery platform — a first for a local government festival in South Korea.
Rather than waiting in long lines under the summer heat, festivalgoers can pre-order food and beverages through the Baemin app and pick them up at a dedicated delivery zone, creating what organizers call a "queue-free, comfortable festival" experience.
The offline energy will carry over online as well.
Ahead of the festival's opening, a large-scale "Gyeongsan Sinbi Peach National Showcase" will launch June 24 on B-Mart within the Baemin app.
Premium Sinbi peaches — grown by local farmers and carefully selected by Jain Agricultural Cooperative, the core production hub for the variety — will reach consumers across the country through B-Mart's logistics network.
"This year's Gyeongsan Cafe Festival will be a stage for warm innovation, where the convenience of a major platform and the dedication of local farmers come together in perfect harmony against the romantic backdrop of the Namcheon Riverside," said Choe Sang-ryong, chief executive of the Gyeongsan Culture and Tourism Foundation.
