Monthly users up average 35% since Q1
Bull market drives demand for investment services
Users in 20s, 30s account for 75% of base
As the Kospi approaches the 9,000 mark, users of Banksalad's investment information service have grown more than 70% in just four months. The fintech firm's "Top Investors' Strategy" service — which analyzes the trading activity of top-performing investors — has drawn particularly strong interest among younger investors.
Banksalad said Monday that monthly active users of the "Top Investors' Strategy" service rose 77% in June compared with late February, when the Kospi broke through the 6,000 level. Since the first quarter of this year, the user base has grown an average of 35% per month.
The service draws on investment data linked through the MyData framework to analyze the portfolio holdings and activity of investors in the top 10% by return. Users can view which shares those top performers hold, track their investment trends, and compare the results against their own portfolios.
The service also provides, on a stock-by-stock basis, the buy-sell ratio and average purchase price of top investors over the preceding 30 days, giving users a reference point for their own investment decisions. It additionally ranks the shares most widely held by top investors, as well as those bought most heavily over the past one week, one month, three months and six months.
Demand for investment information services has expanded alongside the recent bull market. Users in their 20s and 30s account for 75% of Banksalad's investment service user base.
Beyond shares, Banksalad offers an integrated financial management service covering bank accounts, deposits and savings products, credit cards, pension assets, and digital payment balances. The company recently updated its interface to make net asset changes easier to track at a glance and added a goal-setting feature for individual asset categories.
For investment assets, users can view their principal, total invested amount, overall return and per-product return on a single screen. The platform supports integrated asset management spanning shares, pension, real estate and tangible assets. Banksalad also offers an "Interest Reducer" solution for loan customers, which has delivered average annual interest savings of around 610,000 won ($404).
"As volatility in investment markets increases, so does demand for objective data and investment insights," a Banksalad official said. "We will continue to support users in making more rational investment decisions through data-driven services."
