Jungnang-gu Offers Free Safety Equipment for Single-Person Households and Vulnerable Residents

Jungnang-gu is accepting applications for its 2026 Safety Equipment Support Project from Thursday through June 14, aimed at strengthening residential security for single-person households and housing-vulnerable residents.

Eligible applicants are single-person households and residents of detached or multi-unit homes — excluding apartment dwellers — living in Jungnang-gu. Households with a jeonse deposit (or its converted equivalent for wolse tenants) or a home value of 250 million won (about $165,000) or less may apply.

Selected households will receive home security devices tailored to their living situation and safety needs, including CCTV cameras, smart doorbells, front-door safety locks and window locks.

Residents wishing to apply can download the application form from the Jungnang-gu Office or Jungnang-gu Family Center website, then submit it via Naver Form, by mail or in person at the Family Center. Last year, the district provided safety equipment to 95 households, including single-person households and victims of stalking crimes, as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen the local residential safety network.

"Residential safety is the area most closely tied to everyday life, and we hope this support makes a real difference," a Jungnang-gu official said. "We will continue working to create a living environment where residents can feel safe and secure."
