Star Truck Korea freezes engine oil package price for 1,500 vehicles, citing customer burden

Star Truck Korea, the official importer of Mercedes-Benz trucks in South Korea, announced Tuesday it will hold the price of its engine oil change package at the existing rate for a limited run of 1,500 vehicles. The company said it made the decision to ease the maintenance burden on commercial vehicle customers struggling with rising global oil prices and a prolonged economic slowdown.

The offer is limited to 1,500 vehicles and is available to customers who bring their trucks to official Mercedes-Benz truck service centers nationwide. Prices will be adjusted once the allotted quantity is exhausted.

The engine oil change package is part of the "Star Value Package," Star Truck Korea's annual vehicle maintenance program. The Star Value Package moves beyond one-off service promotions to provide systematic, lifecycle-wide vehicle management for customers.

Through official service centers, customers can access professional maintenance using genuine Mercedes-Benz truck engine oil and original parts at a more affordable cost.

"Operating costs for businesses have also been rising amid high fuel prices and inflation, but we decided to maintain the existing price of the engine oil change package because customer support is our top priority," said Dong Geun-tae, chief executive of Star Truck Korea. "Since the benefit is limited to 1,500 vehicles, we encourage customers to visit an official service center before prices are adjusted and experience our professional maintenance service firsthand."

Meanwhile, Star Truck Korea has been running a range of marketing initiatives to reduce the financial burden on commercial vehicle customers, including a special promotion throughout May that offered enhanced financing and maintenance benefits to buyers of its major models.
