Launch event extended through June 13
Covers 'Majesty Solus EDGE' and 'Crugen GT Pro'
Customers to receive gas vouchers, camping gear and more
Review event runs through end of June
Kumho Tire is extending its customer promotion for the launch of two new premium tires.
The company announced Monday it will run the launch event for the Majesty Solus EDGE and Crugen GT Pro through June 13, citing sustained customer interest as the reason for extending the original promotional window.
The event targets customers who purchase the new premium comfort tire for sedans or the new premium tire for SUVs. The extension is aimed at broadening opportunities for customers to try the new products ahead of summer, when tire replacement demand typically rises.
Customers who buy two or more Majesty Solus EDGE or MajestyX Solus tires will receive gas vouchers — 20,000 won (about $14) for a two-tire purchase and 40,000 won for a four-tire purchase. The benefit applies through June 13.
A review event is also running alongside the promotion. Customers who post a product review through June 30 will be entered into a drawing; the top winner receives a mobile gas voucher worth 1 million won, and all participants receive a coffee gift card.
Customers who buy four Crugen GT Pro SUV tires can choose one gift from a selection that includes a Helinox duffel bag, a Fastcamp one-touch tent, a National Geographic backpack, a Pontiac travel carry-on, a Tefal electric grill, or a combined GS Caltex and E-mart mobile gift card.
A review event for the Crugen GT Pro also runs through June 30. Kumho Tire plans to select around 200 participants from those who submit reviews and award them gold coins and coffee gift cards. Full details are available on the Tire Pro website and the Tire Pro Plus app.
The Majesty Solus EDGE is a premium comfort tire built on Kumho's existing Majesty Solus lineup with enhanced performance. An asymmetric tread pattern and high-rigidity center block design improve driving stability, while variable-pitch noise reduction and a stabilized block structure boost ride quietness. A high-silica resin EMC compound strengthens all-season braking performance. Available in sizes from 17 to 20 inches, the tire targets premium vehicles including luxury sedans and imported cars.
The Crugen GT Pro is a premium comfort tire for SUVs designed for a smooth, quiet ride. It achieves a UTQG treadwear rating of 800 across all sizes and meets the energy efficiency rolling resistance standard of Grade 2 or better. The lineup spans 53 sizes from 18 to 22 inches.
The tire also addresses growing demand from electric vehicle owners. Kumho Tire applied technology across all Crugen GT Pro sizes to meet the quietness and wear-resistance requirements of EV tires, making the lineup compatible with both conventional and electric SUVs.
"The Majesty Solus EDGE and Crugen GT Pro are strategic products targeting the premium sedan and SUV markets respectively, and both have drawn strong customer interest since launch," said Kim Seong, executive director of Kumho Tire's Korea sales division. "We hope this promotion extension gives more customers the chance to experience Kumho Tire's premium technology firsthand."
Meanwhile, Kumho Tire posted record earnings last year — the best in its history — and has set a sales target of 5.1 trillion won for this year. The company plans to expand its supply of premium original-equipment tires and push further into high-value product segments, while accelerating construction of new factories in Hampyeong and Europe to build out its global production network.
