Korean Air choir performs charity concert for elderly residents

Korean Air continues to carry out a range of corporate social responsibility activities both at home and abroad.

Members of the airline's in-house choir, KE Choir, visited the senior center at Deungchon 1 Community Welfare Center in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on Sunday to perform a charity concert for elderly residents, the company said Monday. Twenty-nine choir members took part, presenting a varied program of choral and instrumental performances.

The concert opened with "The Ground" by Ola Gjeilo, followed by choral pieces including "Kkotgureum Sogeui" and "Senoya," a flute and clarinet duet, and a set of film and drama series soundtracks. Korean Air also donated goods to the welfare center alongside the performance.

Overseas, employees from Korean Air and Asiana Airlines joined forces for a volunteer trip. The two carriers' combined volunteer group, KE-OZ Yeonhap Sinuhoe, conducted community service activities for local residents and children in the Clark area of the Philippines from May 28 to May 31.

Clark, located in central Philippines, is home to a concentration of tourism and commercial facilities, but outlying areas beyond the special economic zone face significant wealth disparities, leaving many residents and children in difficult circumstances. About 41 members and their families from the joint volunteer group participated in the trip.
