Singer Park Seo-jin shocked by 'pre-surgery face' comments after gaining 11 kg

Singer Park Seo-jin is set to embark on a diet challenge after being shaken by his changed appearance following an 11-kilogram weight gain.

The upcoming episode of KBS2 variety show "Men Who Do Housework Season 2," airing Saturday, will follow Park's struggle with the weight gain and his efforts to slim down.

In the episode, Park confesses that he has put on about 11 kg since his first appearance on the show, putting his current weight at 73 kg.

He is then confronted with a string of online comments, including "I won't watch the show again until his old face comes back" and "Now that he's gained weight, you can see what he looked like before his plastic surgery" — remarks that leave him visibly shaken.

Park is also shown stress-eating tanghulu in large quantities, revealing how far his self-care has slipped. When even Hong Gyeong-hee, a longtime acquaintance and dance troupe director, bluntly tells him "your body feels really heavy," Park turns to the production team directly for help.

Park and his sister Hyo-jeong then meet Hwang Young-jo, a gold medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, for a special training session. Hwang steps in as a running coach to assess the siblings' form, but Park's misguided posture proves too much — Hwang declares, "Don't even think about running."

After a series of setbacks, the siblings finally receive personalized coaching from Hwang and take on their first-ever 3-kilometer run.
