He is survived by his sons Shin Du-sik, Gyu-sik, Wan-sik, Heung-sik (former vice president of Korea Asset Management Corp.) and Gyeong-sik, and daughters-in-law Seo Geum-jin, Kim Eun-hui, Lee Ji-min and Kim Eun-ju, and son-in-law Jo Min-su. Jang Jin-nam passed away Monday morning at Gyowon Yeum Gangwon Funeral Home in Gangwon Province. She is survived by her sons Lee Jeong-mo (head of the defense division at Pablo Aviation) and In-mo (Gangwon bureau chief at Dong-A Ilbo), daughter Jeong-mi (administrative officer at Bongui High School), and daughter-in-law Lee Mi-jeong (researcher at Kangwon National University's Humanities Therapy Center).
