Tailored mentoring for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs
Honam University (President Park Sang-chul) has been selected as the Gwangju regional mentor institution for the "Everyone's Startup Project," a national entrepreneurship support program hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Startup Promotion Agency.
Under the designation, the university's Business Incubation Center (Director Lee Jeong-tak) will serve as a mentor institution for the project's second cohort, providing tailored mentoring to aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups.
With the addition of Honam University, nine institutions in the Gwangju region have been designated as mentor institutions across the first and second cohorts combined.
The "Everyone's Startup Project" is a nationwide initiative designed to help anyone with an innovative idea pursue entrepreneurship, covering the full startup journey from idea development and mentoring to commercialization and investment linkage. The program operates through regional startup support institutions and aims to build a balanced startup ecosystem between Greater Seoul and non-metropolitan areas.
Drawing on its accumulated experience and specialized infrastructure in startup support, Honam University's Business Incubation Center plans to offer expert mentoring across key areas including business planning, marketing, investment attraction and management strategy.
