The Ulleung-gun Public Health and Medical Center in North Gyeongsang Province signed a cooperative agreement with the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service's Donghae Hospital on June 11 to build a regional emergency medical system.
The MOU aims to strengthen emergency medical response capacity in Ulleung-gun, a medically underserved area, and to provide residents with faster and more specialized medical services.
"This agreement goes beyond simple cooperation between medical institutions — it is meaningful in that it establishes a practical emergency medical safety net," an official at the Ulleung-gun Public Health and Medical Center said. "We will continue to do our best to enhance emergency response capabilities and create a medical environment where residents can feel secure."
