Gyeongbuk Science University signs MOU with 6 institutions to build integrated community care system

Gyeongbuk Science University signed a memorandum of understanding with six local institutions on June 19 to build an integrated community care system, holding the signing ceremony at a conference room on the third floor of the university's main building.

Five university officials attended the ceremony, including Ryu Hye-won, team leader of the university's RISE project unit, along with representatives from the participating institutions, including Kim Jin-eui, head of the Chilgok Senior Club.

The six institutions that joined the agreement are the Chilgok Senior Club, Gumi Gangdong Youth Culture Center, Chamjoeun Social Cooperative, Chamjoeun Home Care Center for the Elderly, Gangdong Day Care Center and Woori Dongne Home Day Care Center.

The institutions and the university agreed to jointly participate in North Gyeongsang Province's RISE project through a cooperative framework and to work together to address regional care and employment challenges.

"Through this agreement, we will give concrete shape to an integrated community care model grounded in a lifelong vocational education system and generate tangible outcomes that benefit the region," Ryu said.
