The Seocho-gu Council (Speaker Ko Seon-jae) concluded all scheduled sessions of the 9th assembly on Tuesday with the close of the 349th extraordinary session.
The one-day session included a plenary meeting at which two general agenda items were reviewed.
In his opening remarks, Speaker Ko reflected on the 9th assembly's tenure, saying it "led change in Seocho by translating residents' voices into policy through 130 ordinance proposals and the handling of 460 agenda items." He added that "the greatest source of strength behind these meaningful steps was the unwavering support of our residents," and expressed deep gratitude.
Ko also addressed the incoming council and district administration, urging them to "pursue steady governance with an eye toward Seocho's future over the next hundred years, rather than chasing short-term results." He said he would "return to being an ordinary resident and cheer on Seocho's tomorrow."

The items approved were an amendment to the rules governing overseas official travel by Seocho-gu Council members, sponsored by lawmaker Yu Ji-ung, and a consent motion for the private consignment of operations at the Seocho-gu Volunteer Center. With the session's close, all scheduled business of the 9th Seocho-gu Council has concluded. The 10th assembly is set to hold its first extraordinary session on July 3, launching a new chapter of legislative activity.
