Ulju-gun welfare councils hold 2026 community gathering

Ulsan's Ulju-gun hosted the 2026 Township Community Social Security Council Gathering at Ulju-gun Citizens' Gymnasium on Thursday, bringing together about 400 council members and others for a day of communication and community spirit.

The event opened with a performance and proceeded with commendations and certificates of appreciation for those who contributed to local welfare development, followed by sports and cultural activities.

Kim Hyeong-su, chairman of the Township Community Social Security Council Federation, expressed deep gratitude to council members who quietly serve those in need across the community. "Let us continue working to build an even stronger safety net grounded in sharing and cooperation," he said.

Ulju-gun Mayor Lee Sun-geol thanked the councils, calling them "a reliable pillar that looks after neighbors closest to residents in order to identify welfare blind spots and promote community welfare."
