The trip also identified potential investors in advanced equipment, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
An investment delegation from the Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone Authority secured two investment deals during a 13-day trip to Poland, Germany and Switzerland, the agency announced.
Beyond the two deals, the authority signed investment cooperation agreements with Pomerania Development Corp. and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone Authority in Poland.
The delegation also held investment consultations with companies in yacht manufacturing, offshore wind power plant equipment, specialty valves, high-value petrochemical production facilities and medical device manufacturing, proposing on-site visits to the Gwangyang Bay zone and potential collaboration to strengthen its global investment network.
"We plan to actively pursue follow-up investment activities through the networks we have built, while working to identify projects that can link the visiting institutions and companies with businesses in the province," said Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone Commissioner Gu Chung-gon.
