Ottogi said Monday it held a launch ceremony for the 18th cohort of "Jin & Genie," its college student supporter program for Jin Ramyun.
The 18th cohort comprises 40 college students, including seven international students. The group will remain active through Nov. 6, running online and offline campaigns this year aimed at raising global awareness of Jin Ramyun among tourists visiting South Korea.
All supporters will receive a welcome goods kit, team activity grants and marketing skills training from industry practitioners. Teams whose content is selected as outstanding will have their work uploaded to Ottogi's official social media accounts and receive advertising support.
"Jin & Genie" is a college student marketing program whose name combines "Jin" from Jin Ramyun with "Genie," the wish-granting fairy. Since its launch in 2012, a total of 621 college students have participated in the program through last year. An Ottogi official said the company would "continue to provide a variety of opportunities to promote the brand value of Jin Ramyun."
