Outback Steakhouse, operated by Dining Brands Group, announced Tuesday that Toowoomba Pasta was its best-selling menu item in the first half of this year.
Analyzing sales data from all its stores nationwide from January through June, Outback said its Toowoomba Pasta lineup sold about 1 million units in the first half alone, according to the chain's "Top 5 Outback Menu Items of the First Half of 2026" report.
Toowoomba Pasta has been one of Outback's signature dishes since its launch in 2001 and has since expanded into several variations, including Spicy Toowoomba Pasta, Burrata Rosé Toowoomba Pasta and Truffle Toowoomba Pasta.
Mara Toowoomba Pasta, introduced last month as a limited weekday pop-up item, drew strong customer interest immediately after its launch. Three steak dishes also ranked among the top sellers: Black Label Steak, Garlic Ribeye and Jimboomba Steak.
The premium Black Label steak line posted the highest sales among all steak items. Since its 2015 launch, Black Label has surpassed 20 million cumulative units sold — a pace of roughly one unit every 15 seconds.
Outback's signature appetizer, Aussie Cheese Fries, also cracked the top rankings, selling more than 700,000 units in the first half.
"Our long-loved signature items held their top positions in the first half of this year, while new offerings such as Mara Toowoomba Pasta, Black Label Sizzling Edition and Black Label Chef Edition also received a strong response from customers," an Outback official said.
