Korea Polytechnics Suncheon Campus held a skills workshop Tuesday for immigrant women registered with the Suncheon Family Center.
The session is part of an MOU the campus signed with the Suncheon Family Center on May 20, under which the program will run four times in total for 24 participants.
The initiative was designed to provide practical skills training and strengthen vocational capabilities in line with the government's social integration policy.
Participants learned the basics of leathercraft by making card wallets from premium leather, completing their own handmade pieces by the end of the session.
The workshop program draws on Korea Polytechnics' facilities and specialist expertise to offer local residents hands-on skills experiences and lifelong vocational education opportunities.
"We plan to continue working with local partner organizations to deliver tailored skills education programs for people from all walks of life," a campus official said.
