Modoo Tour launches fall holiday travel collection for September–October

Modoo Tour has launched a "September–October Holiday Recommended Travel Collection," the company announced Wednesday. The campaign aims to capture travel demand during the second-half holiday stretch, which can extend to as many as nine days when annual leave is combined with public holidays.

The collection pairs holiday schedules with suggested leave days to help customers choose destinations at a glance. Short itineraries feature nearby destinations such as Japan, China and Southeast Asia, while longer holiday windows are matched with long-haul options including Europe, the Americas and the South Pacific.

Departure cities have also been diversified. In addition to Incheon, the collection includes products departing from Busan, Daegu, Jeju and Cheongju, as well as a domestic travel category, broadening options for customers across the country.

This year's Chuseok holiday runs from Sept. 24 to 26, and October brings additional public holidays — National Foundation Day, a substitute holiday and Hangul Day in succession. Travelers who use annual leave can string together up to nine consecutive days off.

Bookings are already picking up. In the 10 days from July 16 to Saturday — following the announcement of a reduction in international flight fuel surcharges — reservations for Modoo Tour's September and October holiday overseas travel products rose 24 percent compared with the preceding period. The increase reflected the combined effect of lower fuel surcharges easing cost burdens and strong demand for the extended holiday windows.

"With annual leave, travelers can take trips of up to nine days this holiday season, making it an ideal time to plan long-haul travel," a Modoo Tour official said. "As the recent trend of falling fuel surcharges aligns with growing holiday travel demand, we have put together a wide range of recommended destinations to make it easy for customers to find and book the right product."
