Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu said it will officially announce on Thursday the approval of a revised project implementation plan for the Daejo District 1 Housing Redevelopment Project, located around 88 Daejo-dong.
The Daejo District 1 Housing Redevelopment Project covers approximately 110,000 square meters and will deliver 2,451 units across buildings ranging from four below-ground floors to 25 above-ground floors, with move-in scheduled for Oct. 31. The revised plan focuses on improving the complex's exterior and overall landscape before completion, while also enhancing resident mobility and the usability of shared community facilities.
Key changes include improvements to apartment exterior wall colors and patterns, installation of glass-and-metal sculptures on the rooftops of six high-rise buildings, additional landscape and outdoor security lighting, landscape lighting at the main entrance of each lot, water features and decorative walls along the elevation gap between Yeongmal-ro and the complex, additional mobility elevators within the complex, and the creation of an inline skating rink, an immersive sports experience space and a multipurpose room.
Eunpyeong-gu said it expects the changes to improve the complex's exterior and nighttime appearance, enhance mobility for residents with limited mobility, and diversify leisure and cultural spaces — all of which should raise residential satisfaction among future residents.
"This revision is significant not only because it improves the appearance of the buildings, but also because it enhances residents' mobility and the environment for using shared community facilities," district mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "We will spare no administrative support until move-in day to ensure that Daejo District 1 is completed as a comfortable and distinguished residential complex."
