Daegu University announced Tuesday that it had successfully completed the "2026 Regional Industry Excellent Company Exploration Camp" with Gyeongil University and Daegu Catholic University to strengthen the employment skills of local youth.
Organized by a governance body representing three universities in the Gyeongsan area, the overnight camp ran Wednesday through Thursday at Gaya Hotel in Seongju and at related company sites.
On the first day, participants took part in team-building activities, followed by a special lecture on interview skills and sessions on the latest recruitment trends and company analysis. A human resources manager from Saebitkhem Co., a leading secondary battery company, also attended in person to introduce the firm and deliver a hands-on lecture.
On Thursday, participants visited Daegu Tec Co., a major player in the machinery and manufacturing sector, for a tour of its production lines. After the tour, the company's HR team leader led a recruitment briefing and career lecture, sharing practical information on the hiring process and interview preparation strategies.
Kim Jung-ho, head of Daegu University's career support team, said he hoped the camp helped participating students gain a deeper understanding of outstanding local companies and build practical job-seeking skills.
