Yeungjin University, Hyorim Industrial sign customized education partnership

Yeungjin University and Hyorim Industrial Co. signed a customized order-based education industry-academia cooperation agreement Wednesday at a conference room in the main building of Yeungjin University's Bokhyeon Campus in Daegu.

The signing ceremony was attended by Hyorim Industrial Senior Managing Director Jeong Tae-seok, head of the management support division, and Jeong Yeong-in, manager of human resources and labor affairs, along with Yeungjin University Academic Vice President Park Jong-baek, Student Welfare and Employment Director Park Hyo-jin and Work-Learning Support Center Director Lee Dae-seop.

The agreement aims to train specialized technicians in automotive and industrial components and promote employment. The two institutions agreed to build a close cooperation framework covering education, information exchange and broader industry-academia collaboration.

The two sides also agreed to develop a region-tailored talent cultivation and industry-academia cooperation system based on the "GLP (Global·Local·Practical) HRD Model" and to expand re-employment pathways for skilled workers. They pledged active cooperation in joint technology development, technical support for companies facing challenges, and continuing education for incumbent workers.

"Through our cooperation with Yeungjin University, we will work to strengthen talent development and employment linkages, and to enhance the company's competitiveness," said Jeong Tae-seok, senior managing director of Hyorim Industrial.

Park Jong-baek, academic vice president of Yeungjin University, said the agreement "will serve as a good model of industry-academia cooperation, with the university training practice-oriented talent tailored to what companies need, while providing students with stable employment opportunities."
