LG Uplus, Youth Foundation sign MOU to support young artists

LG Uplus has teamed up with the Youth Foundation to support young artists' cultural and artistic activities.

LG Uplus announced Friday that it signed an MOU with the Youth Foundation to support youth participation in the arts. The signing ceremony took place Thursday at the Youth Foundation's headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and was attended by Lee Cheol-hun, executive vice president and head of LG Uplus's Communications Center, and Youth Foundation Chairman Oh Chang-seok.

The Youth Foundation is a public-interest organization that runs a range of support programs to help young people grow and become self-reliant. It works to identify the challenges youth face and provides tailored programs to address them.

Under the agreement, LG Uplus and the Youth Foundation plan to develop support measures for young people's daily lives, including youth-tailored benefits and services. The two organizations will also pursue cooperation to support young artists' activities in particular.

As part of the effort, LG Uplus will use its multipurpose cultural space "Ilsangbililsangui Teum" to create opportunities for young artists to engage in a variety of activities. The company also plans to run programs that give young people access to cultural and artistic experiences.

"We want to help young people encounter more opportunities and discover new possibilities," Lee said. "We will consistently develop new programs that benefit youth, including through Ilsangbililsangui Teum."

Oh said support for young people must be something they can feel in their everyday lives. "Together with LG Uplus, we will listen closely to the voices of young people and build programs that can help more of them," he said.
