Nvidia-LG ties deepen as Jensen Huang's daughter to visit LG Electronics robotics hub Tuesday

Cooperation between LG Group and Nvidia is accelerating after a key Nvidia executive in physical AI and robotics paid a return visit to Seoul just days after LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang met at Nvidia's headquarters in the United States.

Madison Huang, Nvidia's senior director of Omniverse and Robotics Product Marketing and Jensen Huang's eldest daughter, has traveled to South Korea to visit a key hub of LG Electronics' robotics operations.

According to industry sources Monday, Madison Huang plans to visit the data factory LG Electronics is building at its research and development campus in Yangjae, Seocho-gu, Seoul on Tuesday, where she will hold closed-door partnership talks with senior LG Electronics officials.

The meeting is expected to center on robotics, as it takes place at the data factory — a core piece of infrastructure LG Electronics is developing to train intelligence in humanoid robots. The facility serves as a robot training ground, where machines learn motion and behavior data in environments designed to replicate real-world settings such as homes and factories.

Industry watchers are paying close attention to the speed of the follow-up: the talks come just days after Jensen Huang and Koo signed a memorandum of understanding for strategic business cooperation at Nvidia's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, on Aug. 13.

Under that MOU, LG Electronics is developing a bipedal humanoid robot based on Nvidia's platform, targeting an unveiling in the first quarter of next year. The robot will be equipped with Nvidia's Jetson Thor robotics chip module and built on Nvidia's humanoid foundation model Isaac Groot and its robotics safety system Halos for Robotics.

Industry observers say LG Group's deepening ties with Nvidia — the dominant force in AI — could lift its robotics collaboration to a new level and give it an edge in the physical AI sector, where humanoid robots are emerging as the defining product.

Madison Huang joined Nvidia in 2020 and has since led product marketing efforts focused on expanding the physical AI ecosystem.

She previously met with LG Electronics CEO Ryu Jae-cheol at LG Twin Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, in April to discuss cooperation in physical AI. She also accompanied her father in June when he visited South Korea and held what the industry dubbed a "second Kkanbul meeting" with Koo and other top South Korean business leaders.
