Meritz Securities to integrate Webull's Vega AI into next-generation platform MOUM

Meritz Securities announced Thursday that its next-generation financial platform MOUM will become the first domestic brokerage to integrate Webull's finance-specialized AI engine, Vega AI, when the platform launches Sept. 1.

MOUM goes beyond a conventional mobile trading system (MTS) by combining AI with an investor community. Meritz Securities plans to apply Webull's AI technology to the platform to offer South Korean investors a generative AI-based investment information service.

Vega AI is an AI investment engine built on a large language model (LLM) that analyzes financial data in response to investor queries. When a user asks about a company's recent earnings or the reasons behind a share price movement, the engine draws on regulatory filings and news to summarize the key findings in plain language.

Meritz Securities plans to expand Vega AI's coverage across the full MOUM platform, developing it into an agentic AI financial platform that supports everything from information search and analysis to investment decision-making — all within a single platform.

Unlike conventional AI that simply answers questions, agentic AI identifies a user's goal and independently searches, compares and analyzes the information needed to meet it. For example, if a user asks the system to compare recent high-performing US chipmakers against their own watchlist, the AI analyzes the relevant companies' earnings and filings and presents a comparison along with the supporting rationale.

Meritz Securities and Webull plan to expand their partnership into a global platform project. The two companies agreed to jointly pursue AI investment content and platform projects in the Asia-Pacific region by combining their AI technology and financial content capabilities. Webull is a global online brokerage platform that grew primarily in the United States.

"We will develop this into a next-generation AI financial platform where AI understands what users are trying to achieve and independently searches and analyzes the information needed to support their investment decisions."
