Samil PwC has joined forces with the Korea Mid-sized Company Federation to create a platform for mid-sized companies to identify new growth engines and strengthen their mergers and acquisitions capabilities.
Samil PwC announced Thursday that it held the opening ceremony for the fourth cohort of the Mid-sized Company Investment Leaders Forum on Wednesday at the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The Mid-sized Company Investment Leaders Forum is a domestic cooperative network launched in 2023 through a joint effort by mid-sized companies, investment institutions and policy finance organizations to build a healthy, privately led investment ecosystem.
The fourth cohort will run for 10 weeks through Oct. 28, featuring expert lectures, startup case presentations and workshops on rapidly evolving industry trends including AI, space, biotech, M&A and capital markets. The program aims to expand practical cooperation between mid-sized companies and investment institutions while laying the groundwork for sustainable growth.
The opening ceremony was attended by Min Jun-seon, deals leader at Samil PwC; Kim Hyeon-cheol, standing vice chairman of the Korea Mid-sized Company Federation; Rep. Jang Cheol-min of the Democratic Party of Korea; and executives from major mid-sized companies and investment institutions. Park Jae-hong, a professor in the Department of Advanced Technology Business at Korea University, delivered the inaugural keynote lecture on "Entrepreneurship and Disruptive Innovation."
In his opening remarks, Min said Korea's industrial sector and capital markets must become true partners in tackling the shared challenges of growth and innovation. "This forum has established itself as a platform for cooperation where mid-sized companies and investment institutions share insights on market changes and explore new opportunities based on mutual trust," he said.
Samil PwC and the Korea Mid-sized Company Federation said they plan to continue deepening their collaboration to support the sustainable growth and innovation capabilities of domestic mid-sized companies.
Meanwhile, Samil PwC — which closes its fiscal year in June — posted sales of 1.11 trillion won ($791 million) for the fiscal year ended June 2025, up about 8.4 percent from the previous year. Operating profit for the same period surged 55.6 percent year-on-year to about 25.4 billion won, reflecting both top-line growth and improved profitability.
