LG Innotek holds talent recruitment event in US to build future growth engines

LG Innotek said Tuesday it recently held "Inno Connect," an overseas talent recruitment event, at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Senior executives traveled to LA to lead the talent drive. This year's event was attended by CTO Min Jeon, CHO Lee Dong-hoon and other key officers responsible for LG Innotek's research and development.

Inno Connect is a recruitment-linked event where LG Innotek invites outstanding candidates from top US universities to learn about the company's vision and technology leadership. The company has held the event annually in the United States since 2024. More than 30 master's, doctoral and experienced professionals from 16 major US universities — including Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology, Yale University and the University of California, Los Angeles — took part.

LG Innotek organized the event to strengthen its future growth engines. Participants' primary research areas included physical AI — encompassing robotics and autonomous driving — advanced packaging and next-generation optics. The company has been upgrading its business portfolio by pushing into physical AI and semiconductor substrate businesses, which offer high growth potential and profitability.

LG Innotek researchers drew strong interest by presenting the latest technology trends and research and development updates tailored to each participant's field of expertise. Participants also deepened their understanding of the company's technological competitiveness, talent development philosophy and various support programs for professional growth through an "Ask Me Anything" session that allowed open conversation with senior executives.

Meanwhile, LG Innotek actively runs a global internship program each year targeting both international and Korean students enrolled at universities and graduate schools at home and abroad, as part of its efforts to strengthen global business capabilities. Outstanding interns are offered full-time positions upon completion.

LG Innotek's Vietnam subsidiary, a key overseas production base, has also signed MOUs with major local universities — including Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology — and operates a range of recruitment-linked programs such as contract degree courses, internships and career counseling.
